Ondansetron and Acetaminophen Use During Breastfeeding

Intravenous ondansetron is considered compatible with breastfeeding because breastfeeding initiation is not affected in postpartum cesarean-section studies and no adverse infant effects have been reported in available studies. [1]

Intravenous acetaminophen (paracetamol) is considered compatible with breastfeeding because breastmilk amounts are much less than infant doses and adverse effects in breastfed infants appear to be rare. [2]
